GISonLine Working On Artificial Intelligence Algorithms

Innovative Image Processing & Feature Extraction
GISonLine, in partnership with the Wrocław University of Technology, are working on developing AI algorithms and methodologies that can detect and recognize utility features and objects from analyzing imagery obtained from UAV and aerial platforms. The AI image analysis and algorithms will be integrated into the GISonLine product INSPECTonLine for use within network inventory & asset management processes associated with utility networks.
Specifically, the project will first focus on using AI to process, analyze, and identify the features associated with electrical utility traction lines.
Phases of the project include:
- Analysis of source data and materials (drone & aerial platform data)
- Definition & characteristics of utility objects to be analyzed
- Development of traction line recognition algorithms
- Analysis of the solution to apply towards maintaining overhead
