Staying Up-to-Date With Underground Detection 2018
April 2018
Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR)
GISonLine receives its new GPR units in support of its underground detection services.
GPR is a geophysical method that uses radar pulses to image the subsurface. It is a non-intrusive method of surveying the sub-surface to investigate underground utilities. GPR’s advantage is its ability to detect both metallic and non-metallic features and is ideal for pipe and cable locating as well as plastic, asbestos, and concrete pipes.
